Dishes
Braised Beef Brisket: soft, tender, savory, slightly sweet, with fresh ingredients and good quantity. Pineapple Fried Beef: savory, tender beef with wok hei, refreshing, slightly sour and sweet from pineapple. Stir-fried Pig Intestines: very fresh, tender, crisp, and chewy, but the fermented black bean sauce can be a bit spicy. Claypot Rice: features tender ribs (meat falls off the bone), sweet cured meat and sausage, high-quality Mao Ya Mi rice, and a perfectly crispy, non-burnt rice crust. All dishes highlight fresh ingredients and balanced flavors without excessive seasoning.
Service
Friendly and helpful, but self-service for tea, and ordering requires writing your own selections due to short staffing. It's a family-run business.
Precautions
It is recommended to call ahead for reservations, especially for popular dishes.
Be prepared for potentially long waiting times (up to an hour) for your food.
Order in advance if possible to reduce waiting time.
For the Stir-fried Pig Intestines, eat it quickly while it's hot, as the texture can become tough when it cools down.
For Claypot Rice, mix it thoroughly upon arrival and eat the crispy rice crust quickly before it hardens.
