Dishes
The signature fish sashimi (鱼生) is highly recommended for its tender, smooth texture and lack of fishy taste. The chef expertly removes bones and slices the fish thinly. The fried noodles (鱼瘦肉炒面) are also good, savory and flavorful. However, the mixed stir-fry (小炒皇) was noted to be duller in taste, and the fried fish bones (椒盐鱼骨) were excessively oily.
Service
The service was excellent. Staff were attentive, helped with ordering, explained the menu in detail, demonstrated how to properly mix the sashimi, and even offered to show the fish being prepared.
Precautions
- Ensure the grass carp for sashimi is large enough as smaller fish may have more bones or less desirable meat.
- The fish belly (鱼腩) served as sashimi might contain very short, almost undetectable bones; consume with caution.
